Roxio Sound Cards & Media Devices Driver

Bottom line - this Roxio SW isn't good. For starters - there's no Win 10 instructions re: how to best connect the stereo to the PC. It was trial and error, but I eventually found the one and only way to get a signal to to PC (using USB - no option to plug directly into my sound card). Oh, and the 'sound clean up' feature of the SW compresses the signal so badly that it completely ruins the original sound quality of the music. At any rate - look for something other than Roxio LP to MP3 conversion SW - this isn't the best option in my opinion.

EASY CAPTURE CARD SET-UP BETWEEN YOUR CONSOLE, TV AND PC

STEP 1

Power off the PlayStation 3. Connect a console specific Component AV cable** to the A/V port of the console. An HDMI connection is not possible from the PS3 due to HDCP (Sony protected) video out. Next, plug the color corresponding Component Video and RCA Audio cables to the inputs on the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device.

STEP 2

Connect either an HDMI cable or the color corresponding Component Video Cables between the outputs of the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device and the HDMI or Component Video inputs at the back or side of your TV. I have just upgraded from C2010 to C2011. I like C2011 as it seems faster and smoother (Windows 7, 64-bit).

My issue is capturing audio from my sound card. As I did with C2010, I am putting sound effects into a production. In order to do so, I am recording them from the internet using Creative's 'What you hear' option.

Two things happen after I press 'Stop' on the Roxio Easy Audio Capture screen and get the 'Audio file Successfully captured':

Sound Cards Creative

1) the recorded audio is unusable as it has become very wavy (using the review feature in Roxio Easy Audio Capture); then

2) referring to the 'What do you want to do now?' options, when I select 'Open this file in Sound Editor', and I press 'OK', the application hangs.

This approach worked with C2010. Any solutions?
